There have been a lot of amazing things happening as we prepare to move to the city of San Francisco and God continues to prepare the way in remarkable ways. Check out the update to see what I’m talking about!
In a little over three weeks we have almost 250 people signed up for our prayer team 10k! It’s an amazing statistic already, and we’re extremely excited to have so many people jump on board so quickly! However, we’ve still got a long way to go to reach 10,000 people praying for The San Francisco Project. So, if you haven’t signed up for our prayer team or if you’d like to sign someone else up for our prayer team there are two easy ways to do it.
Send an email to info_at_thesfproject_dot_org, or visit our Contact Us page and input your information specifying you want to be a part of the team! That’s all it takes and you’ll receive our monthly prayer newsletter and our monthly update. (June Prayer Update)

As we prepare to plant a reproducing church in the heart of San Francisco, it is imperative that we have a strong group of committed people surrounding us and lifting us up in prayer. Therefore, we’re creating a team that we want you to join us in, it’s called the Prayer Team 10k. Our goal is to gather around us 10,000 people that will commit to praying for us regularly.
Here’s how it works: Sign up by sending an email here (info [at] thesfproject [dot] org)with your name and email address, and you’ll receive a new prayer list every 2-weeks that you can commit to praying over. We’ll give you regular updates through this site that you can celebrate in with us and thank God for. We’re looking forward to partnering with you in prayer for the city of San Francisco and this new church plant!
This past week I was down in Orlando, Florida for the 2008 National New Church Conference (Exponential) spending some time learning about this art while meeting and networking with a large contingent of people. There were about 3,000 people at the conference this year! While there, I was able to meet with Linda Bergquist, a church planting guru in the Bay Area, and witness her excitement that we were moving out there this summer to begin preparations to plant a church in the city!
After spending a couple of hours with her over a cup of coffee, we learned that there is a move of God beginning to take place in the Bay Area, and that God is truly beginning to make way and prepare the way for new things to begin happening in the city! I was also able to meet a couple of other pastors from the area that are from different denominational affiliations and they too were very excited that we were coming!
God is beginning something amazing for the city of San Francisco, and I’m extremely excited that we get to be a part of it!
